Menopause doesn’t mean lowering your expectations.
It means changing your approach.
INSIDE Rewire is for women navigating midlife and menopause who still care about their running, still have goals, and want a way of training that finally makes sense for the body they’re in now.
This is for the runner who still has goals…
but something has changed
You still care about your running.
You still want to improve.
And you’re not ready to settle for 'just getting round' when your goals still matter to you.
But lately, something feels different.
You’re showing up.
Putting the miles in.
Trying to do the right things.
But the effort and the outcome don’t seem to add up the way they used to.
Maybe this is what you’ve noticed…

It's frustrating.
Because you are trying.
You’re getting out there, doing the sessions and trying to make the right decisions.
But some weeks, your body just doesn’t seem like your own anymore.
So you end up in this weird place where you’re not sure what to do.
Push on?
Ease off?
Take another rest day and feel guilty about it?
Stick to the plan when your body is clearly saying something different?
And that can seriously mess with your head.
Because running used to feel like something you could rely on.
Even when it was hard, it made sense.
If things feel like this right now, it’s not a sign to give up.
It’s a sign that something needs to change.
And you don’t have to keep trying to figure it out by yourself.
You haven’t lost it.
Your training needs to evolve with you.
The way you used to train got you this far… but it may not be the method that takes you where you want to go next.
Midlife and menopause can change how you respond to stress, recovery and load.
So if you keep relying on the same approach, it can start to feel like you’re going backwards.
Not because you’ve lost fitness.
But because what worked before may not be what supports you best now.
When you understand what’s actually changed, you can stop fighting your body and start working with it instead.
That’s when running starts to feel stronger, more consistent, and your training finally makes sense again.
And that’s exactly what INSIDE Rewire is here to help you do.
I've been exactly where you are
I'm Jules. A UKA qualified running coach, PT and menopause coach.
I know what it’s like to be a runner with big goals while real life is happening in the background.
Kids. A break-up. Work stress. Building my own business. Hormones doing what they fancy. Energy and motivation that isn't always there. And recovery that needs more respect than it used to... It's a lot.
I’ve also had to navigate my own health challenges, including osteopenia, and had to completely rethink the way I trained.
Not by lowering the bar.
But by learning how to train for the body I'm in now.
And that changed everything.
Since then, I’ve run many personal bests, become a Six Star Marathon Majors finisher, completed ultra marathons, and kept chasing goals I’m genuinely proud of.
So when I say midlife doesn’t mean your best running is behind you, I’m not saying it as a motivational quote.
I’m saying it because I’ve lived it (and still am!).
And because this is what I coach women through every day.

This is where things start to change
You can keep doing what you’ve been doing and hope things improve.
Or you can decide this is the point where something changes.
Not because you’ve failed.
But because forcing the old way to keep working is exhausting.
INSIDE Rewire helps you stop treating every hard week, heavy-legged run or dip in confidence as something you just have to put up with.
You start to notice patterns.
You make clearer decisions.
You know when to adjust instead of forcing it.
And you stop letting one tough run convince you that you’re going backwards.
Over time, things begin to feel different.
Your training has more rhythm.
You feel less disheartened.
You have more trust in what you’re doing.
And progress starts to feel possible again.
The Rewire Method
The Rewire Method is the foundation of INSIDE Rewire.
It gives you a clear way to interpret what's happening and respond to what your body needs.
It looks at the physical side of running through midlife and menopause, but also the part that happens in your head when training stops feeling as predictable as it used to.
Because this isn’t about one quick fix.
It’s about the four areas that shape how your running feels now:
Reframe. Regulate. Reconnect. Rebuild.

REFRAME
Making sense of what’s changing in your body and performance, so you can train with clarity rather than frustration.
This is about letting go of what used to work, understanding why things feel different, and replacing guesswork, self-doubt and outdated expectations with informed confidence and forward-moving decisions.

REGULATE
Supporting energy, recovery, and overall stress load so your training can actually work.
This is about balancing running with sleep, fuel, hormones and life stress, so your training feels more sustainable and less like one more thing draining the tank.

RECONNECT
Regaining trust in your body and learning to read your own signals again, rather than relying so heavily on pace, data or outside reassurance.
This is about feeling your effort, rhythm, and limits more clearly, so decisions during training feel instinctive again, not constantly questioned.

REBUILD
Progressing your training in a way that fits your current physiology and life demands, so resilience is rebuilt steadily over time.
This focuses on durability, consistency and the foundations underneath your running without forcing progress faster than your system can absorb, so you build momentum in a way that actually lasts.
It all works together
If you came here from the Menopause Running Check-In, you may already have seen which area needs the most attention right now.
INSIDE Rewire helps you connect that result to the bigger picture.
Because running through midlife and menopause is rarely about one single thing.
It’s not only fitness.
It’s not only hormones.
It’s not only recovery.
It’s not only mindset.
It’s the way all of those things, and more, interact.
That’s why The Rewire Method looks at the whole picture.
So rather than trying to fix everything at once, each month in INSIDE Rewire focuses on one theme linked to Reframe, Regulate, Reconnect or Rebuild.
Because when one part is off, the others feel it too.
And when those pieces start working together, you begin to feel more in control again.
What this looks like INSIDE
This isn’t another training plan to follow, hoping that it works.
And it’s not more generic menopause tips.
INSIDE Rewire gives you guidance, support and community you can actually use as your running changes through midlife and menopause.
Each month has a clear focus linked to The Rewire Method, with something specific to understand, something practical to try, and a way to apply it to your own training.
Some months, that might mean understanding why your recovery feels different. Other months, it might mean looking at strength, fuelling, load, confidence, or how to handle the weeks when your body doesn’t feel like it used to.
You won’t be expected to do everything perfectly. That’s not real life.
You’ll have resources to come back to, live sessions where we talk through the things that are actually coming up, and a community of women who understand why all of this matters.
A space where you can share the things you may have been too embarrassed to speak openly about before.
Ask the question you’ve been going round in circles with.
Celebrate the week you stayed consistent.
Admit when something has knocked you off your guard.
Cheer someone else on, and have others do the same in return.
That’s what makes this more than a training plan.
It’s support that actually makes a difference, with women who get you.

INSIDE Rewire is for you if...
-
You’re a peri/menopausal runner with races, goals or comeback in mind.
-
You still care about improving, but your usual way of training isn’t working.
-
You want to understand how recovery, strength, fuelling, load and mindset all affect the way you run now.
-
You’re willing to try things differently, and build consistency without needing everything to be perfect or how it was.
-
You want to be in the room with women who lift you up. With women who understand the goals, the challenges, the setbacks and the satisfaction of feeling things start to click again.
It’s probably not for you if…
-
You want a rigid plan with no room for real life, recovery or what your body is telling you.
-
You’re looking for quick hacks instead of learning how to train through this chapter properly.
-
You don’t want to look at the bigger picture as part of your running.
-
You’re ready to stop caring about progress, performance or goals.
If you’ve been telling yourself you’ll work it out eventually, ask yourself this:
How much longer are you willing to keep putting the work in without feeling like it's moving you forward?
Because the cost isn't just a slower pace or one frustrating week.
It's the momentum you lose when training feels stop-start.
The confidence that gets nibbled away at when progress feels out of reach.
The energy spent trying to force an approach that isn’t giving you much in return.
And the annoying frustration of watching goals that used to excite you start to feel more stressful than they should.
If you’re ready to change that, this is your next step.
Built from real coaching, real women, and real life

INSIDE Rewire may be new, but the coaching behind it isn’t.
It’s been shaped by the women I’ve helped through midlife, menopause, work stress, family life, setbacks, PB attempts and all the other things that don’t pause because you’ve got a goal.
Liz is one of those women.
When she joined RunningRewire, running was mostly something she did alone and she was fed up of not seeing the results she knew she was capable of.
Since then, she’s completed the Six World Marathon Majors, smashed multiple PBs, finally achieved her goal time in the marathon, run 100 Parkruns, joined a running club and started leading runs herself.
A long way from the solitary runs of pre-2022!
I have no doubt that I would not have achieved all this without Jules' expertise and encouragement. And I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of this community.

Nic - feeling supported through the high and lows
This is what support feels like
These are the kinds of conversations, messages and breakthroughs that shaped INSIDE Rewire in the first place.
Women navigating the tough weeks, celebrating the wins, asking honest questions and finally feeling like things are starting to make sense again.

Elizabeth - encouragement that kept her going

Erin - practical support for meaningful goals
You don’t need to keep figuring this out on your own anymore.
If you want support that actually makes sense for the runner you are now…
this is your next step.
